The Felsted Science Star

Felsted’s Year 7 pupils were presented with their very own star in assembly, in celebration of their Science projects, which were assessed at the Chelmsford Science and Engineering Competition.

We are very grateful to Paul Dunton, who kindy presented the Anglia Ruskin University Award to the pupils. The star chart shows the exact location of the star along with its astronomical coordinates. The star is unique to Felsted Prep School and it’s name will be registered in the Star Listings International Dictionary forever.

Four Felsted groups in Years 7 and 8 were presented with the Anglia Ruskin University Award after gaining a sweep of titles for their innovative projects at the Chelmsford Schools Science and Engineering Competition in 2019. This achievement was even greater as our pupils were some of the youngest at the competition, which was open to pupils from Years 7-13. The aim of the competition was to promote and reward STEM projects in local schools, with Felsted Prep pupils entering a diverse range of ideas from climate control, to ocean pollution clean up and promotion of equality in young people.
