The autumn term started well for Felsted's Modern Foreign Languages Department, with the exciting results of the 2020/2021 Translation Bee and Spelling Bee National Finals, which were published last week. Out of 4,970 students who started the competition, Phoebe H, Ava S and Julia Z were amongst the 42 pupils from all over the country who competed in the final and we were delighted to learn that Ava placed fourth for German and Phoebe won the final, also for German! The judges said that it was a tightly fought contest and everyone did really well.

Meanwhile huge congratulations to Violet N in Year 8 who is presented with a medal for coming 2nd in the Regional Final and a plaque for coming 2nd in the National Final of the German Spelling Bee.
