Are you a professional engineer or do you have links to the engineering industry? Would you come into school and talk to our Year 6 pupils for 10mins and allow them to interview you about your career as an engineer?

We are excited to announce that Felsted’s Year 6 pupils will be taking part in the National Leaders Award 2020 Competition during this academic year, as part of their 'passport to Year 7 '

The Leaders Award will be challenging pupils to research engineering, interview inspiring engineers and interpret the question "If you were an engineer - what would you do?"
 

The award is a fantastic opportunity to engage our pupils with real engineers who will convey the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in their daily working lives. Pupils will be able to let their creativity run free, draw and write about how they interpret the question and come up with inventions and ideas.

Last year over 10,000 pupils, from across the country, took part in the award and hundreds of short-listed entries were displayed at public exhibitions in multiple venues, which were visited by hundreds of people.
