On Tuesday 18 June Lower Sixth were actively engaging in careers planning at their Futures Conference. During the day they had a variety of activities, with three speakers, David Hawkins (Hawkins Global Education) Mike Nicholson (Director of Student Recruitment at Bath Univeristy) and Deena from the RAP project discussing the social side of transition to university.
They also attended 5 self-selected breakout sessions each covering diverse areas such as Digital Business, Philosophy, Law, Dutch applications, Fashion Retail, LinkedIn, and Interview Skills.
All attended a Personal Statement workshop with either Leicester, UEA or the New College of the Humanities. All should now be focussed on considering their next steps and beginning to work on competencies and personal statements in Unifrog.
We couldn't offer the opportunities without the help of many universities, business, OFs and parents, and are very grateful for their support.
