Dr Bettina Hohnen made such an impact when she spoke to teachers recently that we decided to get her back to give the Cromwell Lecture for pupils and their parents. Dr Hohnen is a trained clinical psychologist, and co-author of the remarkable book: 'The Incredible Teenage Brain - Everything you need to know to unlock a teen's potential'. This recently-published book focuses on the developing teenage brain and as such her insight will be of particular interest to parents of children in Yr7 through to Yr10.
This is also the first event that will mark the 50th anniversary of co-education at Felsted this year. In order to ensure that we have sufficient seating, please book your tickets via the link below. Butler Lecture: Professor John Wyatt, 6 February 2020
This year's Butler Lecture will feature Professor John Wyatt, a Doctor, Author, Speaker and Research Scientist who previously worked as a consultant neonatologist and academic researcher, focussing on the mechanisms, treatment and prevention of brain damage in newborn infants.
Professor Wyatt is now engaged in addressing new ethical, philosophical and theological challenges caused by advances in medical science and technology. He is also fascinated by the issues raised by rapid advances in AI and robotics, and the interface between cutting-edge science and Christian faith.

Magic Bike Gourmet Experience, 13 February 2020
Join us on Thursday 13 February for a Gourmet Dinner by Galvin Head Chef Danny Lee with Guest Speakers, Joe Andrews & Verity Ellis presenting their epic 9,000 mile charity cycle from Felsted to Magic Bus, India.
Joe Andrews is a Maths Teacher at Felsted School and took a leave of absence in 2018/19 to pursue this challenge with his wife, Verity. They set out to make a difference for the Magic Bus children’s charity, set up by former Felstedian Matthew Spacie MBE, by embarking on a five month sponsored cycle ride to the charity headquarters in Mumbai, India. Come and hear the magical story of their epic challenge, which has raised over £7,500 so far.

Old Felstedian Dinner 2020 - 13 March
The Old Felstedian Society’s one hundred and seventeenth dinner will be held at the Grade II* listed De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London. The event will celebrate Felsted’s 50th Anniversary of Co-Education and mark the momentous occasion by bringing together Felsted Girls from every decade since the 1970s, along with former and current members of staff.

Saracens - Felsted Ticket Offer, 28 March 2020
Saracens Rugby have invited the Felsted community to take advantage of a great offer to their Showdown #1 game 'Saracens v Harlequins' at the iconic Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday 28 March 2020. It will be the first ever Gallagher Premiership Rugby game to be held at the stadium and promises to deliver a mouth watering showdown.

Cambridge Network Spring Lunch, 23 April 2020
The next Cambridge Network lunch is at the Park Brasserie, Cambridge Regional College on Thursday 23 April from 12.00pm.
The group is keen to welcome new members and the lunch is open to all Old Felstedians and current Felsted parents living and/or working in or nearby to Cambridge. The food is cooked by college students and overseen by experienced chefs. The cost, including wine, will work out at about £25 per head which everyone pays on departure.
