Top Tips for Making the Most of a Felsted Open Morning

To help you make the most of your visit to Felsted or any school open morning, we’ve put together a few simple tips so you can enjoy the event and get all the information you need.

1. Arrive in good time

Registration for our whole school Open Mornings usually opens at around 9.30am, and this will be confirmed in advance of your visit. Arriving at this time, or slightly before, will give you a chance to settle in, enjoy a warm drink and meet members of our team before the welcome talks begin promptly.
 

2. Think about what matters most to your family

Whether you are exploring Pre‑Reception or Pre-Prep, Prep or Senior / Sixth Form entry, it can be helpful to consider what you are hoping to learn - for example:

• Academic stretch and support
• Boarding life
• Co‑curricular opportunities
• Pastoral care
• Transport options
• Next steps in the admissions process

Our staff will be ready to help with any questions you may have.
 

3. Enjoy your personalised tour

Your tour will be tailored to the year group you are considering, giving you the chance to see lessons, activities and daily life in action. Feel free to ask your guide about anything that interests you - our pupils and staff love sharing their experiences.

 

4. Take your time exploring

From classrooms and creative spaces to sports facilities and boarding houses, there is plenty to see. If there is an area you would particularly like to revisit or explore further, just let us know.

5. Speak to our Admissions Team before you leave

After your tour, our team will be available to discuss next steps, key dates and how to begin your Felsted journey. This is a great opportunity to ask any final questions or arrange a follow‑up visit.
