Charity Partners

From the youngest years Felstedians will get involved with supporting charitable organisations; learning not just the value of monetary donations, but also giving time and sharing resources and expertise to help support causes within the community.

Pupil Charity Teams initiate and organise fundraising activities and select the good causes the school supports, while community projects involve large numbers of students in giving practical help and support to people in the UK and internationally.

A Responsibility to Make a Difference

Pupils’ understanding of their responsibility to make a difference in society is established from an early age and further developed as they move up the school through participation in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, Round Square and the Community, Action, Service (CAS) element of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Making a difference is ingrained in the school’s ethos: every member of the school community – pupils, parents, staff and supporters – takes part.

A Lasting Ethos

Outside of school, many of our pupils, staff and the wider Felsted family are encouraged and supported to organise extra fundraising ventures for both our school charities, and for additional causes personal to them.  Many of our OFs also go on to work with charities and other organisations dedicated to making a difference in the world, and a few have even started their own.

Building Charity Partnerships

The School is committed to building partnerships with a number of charities, core to who we are and our aim is to make a real difference locally, nationally and globally.

Our whole school charities have been carefully selected by our student and staff charity team based on local, historic, or personal connections to the school. You can find out a bit about each one below.
