Cricket

Lorem Ipsum Dolor
Cricket has been played at Felsted since 1805, so perhaps it’s no surprise that the school is recognised as one of the best in the country for this quintessentially English sport.

Girls and boys are introduced to cricket in Year 3 and it continues to be an important core sport, with many pupils taking the opportunity to represent the school in local, regional and national fixtures, with great success!

Sport at Felsted is for everyone and the youngest cricketers are taught to develop their hand-eye co-ordination and learn the rules and etiquette of the game. Cricket is an integral part of the Sports Programme and all pupils have the chance to represent Felsted in fixtures against other local and regional schools, with players of all abilities involved.

Cricket continues to be a core sport throughout the Senior School, with additional training and coaching sessions for keen and able players. There is a full fixture list for the boys’ and girls’ teams. Every year a match is played against an MCC team on the school’s famous main pitch, ‘The Front’, and Felsted also competes in the national T20 competition.

Top Cricket School

Felsted has been selected by the world’s longest established cricket magazine for its list of the country’s top 100 state and independent schools for the sport.

Cricket Scholarships

Cricket players showing potential are invited to apply for a Felsted Sports Scholarship, which are offered at Year 7, Year 9 and Year 12.
