Prep Breakfast and After School Clubs

For those in Pre-Prep (Reception to Year 2), we offer an early drop off from 8:10am and for those in the Prep School (Years 3 - 8), this is from 8.00am. We also offer a Breakfast Club for Reception - Year 8 starting at 7.30am, as an optional extra.

Whilst the majority of our pupils enjoy extended school days, with time for academic extension and co-curricular activities built in, we recognise that this does not suit some of our younger Felstedians who benefit from extra rest. For those that would like to join us for after school clubs and activities, this is offered up until Year 6 as an optional extra, with more flexibility to choose your days around your working schedule.

Breakfast Club for Reception - Year 8 pupils

We are pleased to offer a Breakfast Club for Reception to Year 8.

It runs from 7:30am until 8:00am as detailed below. We ask that children arrive before 7.45am to allow enough time for breakfast.

Year 4 - Year 8	7.30 - 8.00am	Prep Dining Hall (Red Doors)	Cereals, toast, cooked items, yoghurt, fruit with a drink of water or milk.	£8.25 per session

Places are allocated for the whole academic year and please note that should you no longer require your child's place, we require half a term's notice.

While we do our best to accommodate ad hoc bookings, these must be requested in advance by 12 noon on the previous day. Thank you for your understanding that we cannot always guarantee availability last minute, due to staff ratios.

Reception - Year 2

Woodlanders After School Club

Woodlanders is our wonderful after school care offering and is open to all Pre-Prep (Reception - Year 2) children. It runs from 3.30pm - 5.30pm. Parents can book a half session (3:30pm - 4:30pm or from the end of an after school activity until 5.30pm) or for a full session (3.30pm - 5.30pm).

In addition to Woodlanders, we host a number of after school activities each day for our Pre-Prep children. These run from 3:30pm to 4:15/4:30pm.

Years 3 - 6

An introduction to the Extended Day

From September 2026, we are moving to a highly impactful five-day week, with a refined school day from 8.20am to 4.30pm for Years 3 to 6.

Our commitment to a broad, holistic education remains unwavering. The new structure enables us to:

Maintain our excellence in core co-curricular areas including Drama, Sport, and Music.
Embed Academic Enrichment sessions within the school day, providing outcomes such as exhibitions, performances and community projects that foster intrinsic motivation.

Core Co-curricular clubs and activities are included in the termly fees and take place in the school day. All Specialist Co-curricular clubs and activities i.e. Karate, Judo, Tennis, Golf, Squash, Ballet, Riding are available at an additional charge.

For wraparound care, after school 'Junior Woodlanders' runs every weekday from 4.30pm-5.30pm during term time at an additional charge.

Year 7 onwards

Co-Curricular activities are built into the school day.

From Year 7 onwards pupils enjoy an extended day (finishing at 5.30pm) with core co-curricular activities built into the school day. In addition to Games sessions, Felsted offers a wide variety of Co-Curricular activities. Core Co-curricular clubs and activities are included in the termly fees including Drama, DTE, Art, Photography. Specialist Co-curricular clubs and activities i.e. Karate, Judo, Tennis , Golf, Squash and Riding are available at an additional charge.
