Sixth Form Centre - New for 2024!
Senior students at Felsted School are enjoying a newly renovated space on the campus to study, socialise and relax, which takes its inspiration from the cool apartment styles of New York City.
Felsted’s two-storey Sixth Form Centre is accommodated in one of the oldest buildings on the 90-acre campus.
The new Sixth Form Centre echoes the values of the school and provides a space for students to work independently and collaboratively, but also to enjoy their downtime in the company of others.
The work was carried out in the 2024 Summer break and included total refurbishment and redecoration as well as the bespoke creation of integrated seating, surfaces and wall decor.
The lower level includes classic leather chesterfields and dark wood coffee tables, ideal for informal discussions and get-togethers. Plush high stools are arranged around the white marble-topped corner bar where Sixth Formers prepare their own healthy drinks and snacks. Upstairs features tables for studying, more leather chesterfields, and additional custom-built banquette seating with plenty of cushions for comfort.

Felsted’s Year 12 and 13 students are delighted with their new Centre. It’s flexible and gracious and demands to be treated with respect. In fact, the students have drawn up their own charter of the behaviour expected of anyone using it, which just demonstrates the skills of autonomy, independence and responsibility we are always aiming to encourage in our most senior students in readiness for them leaving us and forging their own paths in higher education, the workplace and adult life.
