Junior Programme
Whether this is your child’s first experience away from home or they are a regular globetrotter, our Junior Programme will provide them with the perfect blend of learning, fun activities and cultural experiences. Each child can experience our timetable differently, based on their standard of English.
We know the experience can be daunting but we will work hard to ensure your child settles as quickly as possible. We know that your child will soon become part of our summer community and will make friendships and forge memories that will last a lifetime. Your child will be kept as busy as possible so that they make the most of their time at Felsted and as such their daily timetable is broken down into different sections each day for variety and exploration throughout the course.

Online Assessments
This year, we are introducing AI-enhanced, adaptive online assessment for our English placement tests. This means we can place students accurately in classes and let parents know the placement before students arrive at Summer School.
MemoryLab
We are excited to introduce MemoryLab! Felsted MemoryLab is a fun and dynamic digital learning tool for all students that turns mastering vocabulary into an exciting adventure. Whether in class or as part of our afternoon club, students will boost their memory power and perfect their vocabulary and subject knowledge through personalised learning goals and interactive challenges.
Registration
Occurring three times daily, this provides the perfect opportunity for our House Parents to check on the wellbeing of your child and to explain what will happen each day.
English Lessons
Three 1 hour lessons take place every morning, for 5 days during the week. There is also a fun-based project session on Sunday morning. Each child will be allocated to the appropriate level class following an assessment on their first day.
Academies
Students may choose one of our many academy options to enhance their learning over a two week period.
Assembly
Every day after lunch, the Summer School team will guide the children on expectations for the days ahead and is a great way for them all to quickly get to know each other, their roles and responsibilities.
Clubs
Children may choose a co-curricular option such as computer programming, cookery, music or photography, though it could also include a sports option such as badminton or tennis.
Social Programme
A vast and varied social programme to encourage as much interaction between the children as possible. This ranges from competitions and talent shows, to themed discos and our very own mini-olympics!
House Time
This is an opportunity for children to rest and relax for a short time before they go to sleep. They are encouraged to socialise and reflect on their day, perhaps phoning home to touch base with their family before the day ends.
Excursions
Children will be taken on three exciting trips per week. These differ each week to expose children to English culture at the same time as being a fun and actively enjoyable experience.
