Excursions

Three exciting trips per week!

Differing every week of our summer school, we introduce children to different elements of English culture at the same time as giving them a memorable and actively enjoyable experience. We understand how much can be learnt outside the classroom and this is the perfect opportunity for our students to mix and socialise with different cultures in their group.

 

 

Outside of the classroom, students will take part in organised and supervised excursions. Our full day excursions will provide fantastic opportunities to learn outside of the classroom, allowing students to engage with new environments and experiences. On weekends, we will have half day excursions to explore even more, and have some fun! Our half day Sunday excursions will be a mix of local exploration and shopping trips, allowing everyone a chance to unwind and pick up a few souvenirs.

Felsted International Summer School puts the following supervisory arrangements in place for students during shopping times:

• Students aged 14 and over are allowed unsupervised free time to shop, in groups no less than 3. No student should be shopping on their own. Students aged 13 and under will be supervised at all times.
• All students will be informed of a meeting point, and time to meet here. This will also be known as the Emergency Meeting Point (EMP). A member of staff will be posted here in case a student needs any help.
• Student mobile numbers will be made available to the trip leader in case of emergency. If a student is more than 10 minutes late to the meeting point, the trip leader will phone the student to make sure they are ok and on their way to meet the group.

If you do not wish for your child to have unsupervised free time while on shopping trips or in cities/towns, please send an email to summeradmin@felsted.org, and we will make sure your child is supervised at all times.
