Our vision is that Felsted equips pupils to be excellent communicators, who are resourceful, effective and technologically adept leaders, with a sense of service to others at their core.
Achieving that vision will require us to further develop inspiring modern facilities and provide life-changing opportunities to advance the way we deliver teaching and learning, creative arts and sport to ensure we are at the forefront of education in the 21st century.
Our most pressing and important development goal for the next four years is to create new teaching and learning centres at both the Senior and Prep School and a new Sixth Form boarding house.
Phase One: The Marshall Centre for Learning
We are delighted to say that we have submitted our planning application for Phase One and this has been approved.
The centre will include:
- Opportunity for greater collaborative teaching & learning within 10 large classrooms
- Break-out areas and social spaces for groups & tutor discussions
- Learning pods for personal study
- Art gallery reception area
The Centre is being named in honour of Old Felstedian Frederick Marshall (Windsor’s 1943-1947) to celebrate his extraordinary legacy to the School.
Prep School Teaching & Learning Centre
We will be creating a brand new teaching and learning centre at Prep School for children aged 7 & 8 that will replace Ffrome Court.
Sixth Form Boarding House
With an increasing demand for students seeking boarding places for Sixth Form and our excellent International Summer School, we will create a new boarding house to meet this need.
Further details of this stage of the vision will be revealed once The Marshall Centre is fully underway.
As we look to the future, we will need the partnership and generous support of the Felsted community to help this vision become a reality.
Felsted has a great history, it is a school that is thriving in the present. Help us to ensure that it has an even better future.
