The Importance of Exercise

When many people decide to "get fit," they assume it involves rigorous activity,  but you don't have to spend hours in a gym to be physically active.

People can get in shape by performing everyday activities in the home. Every time you throw a ball, climb a flight of stairs, walk to the store, or carry packages, your health and fitness levels are improving. When someone is physically fit, they feel better, and they stay healthier.  Heading out once a day for some exercise is one of the Government's official reasons for leaving your house; for some of us a little more motivation is needed!

The links below will change over time with resources and challenges to live a healthy and active lifestyle even when from home.

There is also the opportunity to be active as a family! The majority of the content will require no more than a living room or garden and very little equipment.  Every pupil should aim to be physically active for a minimum of 20 minutes per day
