Felsted Performs Peter Pan

"Second star to the right and straight on 'til morning."

With just a touch of fairy dust, Year 7 & 8 brought the magic of Neverland to life in their production of Peter Pan.

Dual casting enabled great participation in wonderful performances, which captivated the audiences. The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the set, costumes, music and technical extras were all wonderful!

A reflection from the Year 7 Journalism and Media Team, by Red, Max, Tyler and Harvey:

All the actors did an incredible job, you could really see them emphasising their characters and they were just as we would imagine them. The atmosphere was amazing and the songs reached the back of the room with ease; it was just like going to the theatre.

The set design was a huge team effort involving the whole art department, works team as well as parents and pupil helpers. They managed to display the nursery, pirate ship and mythical Neverland all on one stage. It was a wonderful creation of an imaginary faraway place where Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Captain Hook, the Lost Boys, and some other imaginary beings and creatures live out. Our particular favourite is the crocodile! Watch out!

The pupils involved have enjoyed being part of the production. They have learnt a lot about being on stage, working as part of a team, and seeing the whole production come together.

If you watched it, we hope you agree that it was an amazing production. We would like to say a huge well done to the cast, crew and Mr Harries for the massive amount of effort they have put into the play.
