Follyfield - known fondly as Follies - is a happy, lively community of about 60 girls set in a purpose built boarding house, built in 2014, with beautiful views over the school pitches and fields.
Follyfield House has spacious common rooms, a well-equipped kitchen plus study and relaxation areas. Follyfield House can accommodate girls in a variety of rooms, with Year 11s and 12s mostly having individual rooms with ensuite bathroom facilities. A large open plan common room on the ground floor contains a spacious kitchen area and a separate Sixth Form common room. An open atrium spans three floors of the building, from which kitchenette common rooms on the first and second floor take full advantage of. There is also residential accommodation for the Housemistress, Assistant Housemistress and Resident Tutor.
Follies girls pride themselves on their community spirit and supportive ethos - almost all communal rooms are available for anyone to use, so inter-year friendships abound. There is an excellent pastoral team and also a buddy system (called WOW - wise old woman!) for new students, which means that they settle quickly. The girls are happy and comfortable with their work and their environment and this underpins life at Follies. Participation is very much encouraged.
