No, children don’t attend school on Saturdays until Year 5.

We recommend that you register your interest as soon as possible. We are not able to process applications unless you have registered your child. Once registered, you will receive weekly newsletters so that you can keep up to date with events and achievements at Felsted.

Pupils usually take the bus from Year 4 onwards. Felsted has a number of minibus routes to and from the School each day, from destinations such as Bishop's Stortford, Braintree, Brentwood, Buckhurst Hill, Chelmsford, Coggeshall, Danbury, Epping, Ingatestone, Kelvedon, Maldon, Ongar, Saffron Walden, Woodford and Writtle.

In Years 3 - 6, the optimum number of pupils per class is 20, with 3 classes per year group.

Drop off is between 8.00-8.10am for Years 3 & 4 and they are collected at 3:40pm unless at after school activities when they are collected at 5:20-5.30pm. All Year 3 and 4 pupils stay until 5:20pm on Tuesdays and Year 4 stay late till 5:20pm on Thursdays for co-curricular activities. 

We have a breakfast club at an extra charge starting at 7.30am which must be booked. We also have after school clubs and activities for all year groups. For Years 3 and 4 on the non-extended school days, there will be activities that the children can opt in to on a termly basis. Tuesday and Thursday activities are included in the fees.

There are some exceptions, but these clubs will be highlighted on the activities letter. The evening sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday are from 3.35pm to 5.35pm. They commence with a short homework/reading session followed by a drink and snack and supervised play time before the activity. There is a charge per evening session and these charges will be stated on the activities letter.

In addition to Games sessions, Felsted offers a wide variety of Co-Curricular activities. Activities offered may differ from term to term and from year group to year group, but they may include some or all of the following for Years 3 and 4:  Riding, Arts & Crafts, Lego, Sewing, Sign Language, Judo, Tennis, Cooking, Table Tennis, Board Games, Quiz Club, Ballet, French Club, Recorders 

Clubs are booked on a first come, first served basis. Information and booking forms are sent by email to both current and new parents at the same time and for Years 3 and 4 this is sent out at the end of June.
