An Ideal Location

Set in a quintessential English countryside village just 40 miles from both London and Cambridge, Felsted’s school campus combines centuries-old ivy-clad buildings with modern architecture and 90 acres of sports fields, formal gardens and grounds.

Felsted has its own music school, theatre, performing arts studio, sports hall and an indoor swimming pool.

A strong Boarding community

Boarding is central to life at Felsted and all pupils are looked after and supported with sensitivity and kindness. Felsted Prep’s comfortable boarding house is at the heart of the school and experienced pastoral care staff are on hand 24 hours a day to ensure that every pupil is well known, happy and thriving. Short-Term Stay pupils join in with everything a Felsted education has to offer, alongside pupils their own age.

All lessons and activities are conducted in English at Felsted and Short-Term Stay pupils whose first language is not English are supported to improve their skills and take an active role.

Dynamic curriculum

Teaching is of a very high quality and the academic curriculum is broad and exciting, designed to engage every pupil. Complementing this is a programme of sports, the arts, activities and clubs offering a wealth of opportunities for all pupils to discover their talents and passions in an encouraging, supportive environment. Visits beyond the school – such as to shows in London’s West End, sports matches, places of historical interest and cultural events - give pupils a taste of British life and heritage!

English-language immersion means Short-Term Stay pupils quickly become confident speakers. As well as enhancing their academic education, their improved language skills enable them to develop international understanding through the connections they make with children their own age from a variety of countries.

A Short-Term Stay at Felsted is an inspiring and exciting way to broaden a child’s horizons in preparation for the world of the future.
