We understand what a big decision it is for you to choose the right school for your child. We aim to make the process as simple as possible. Please also read through our admissions procedures for each entry point below.

We encourage you to register with us by completing our Registration Form and fee as soon as you are ready; once we have this, you are then included on our list of applicants for the appropriate year and will be contacted for testing days.

The deadline has now passed and applications are closed for September 2023 entry, please contact the Admissions Department to discuss late applications.

Year 9 Pre-testing for Pupils currently in Year 6 or Year 7

Here at Felsted we offer Pre-testing via ISEB. This allows pupils to sit entry assessments in either Year 6 or Year 7 and if successful be offered an assured place for Year 9. This is a popular choice for many of our families who are keen to secure their child's Senior School route in good time.

ISEB have been working to maximize the quality of these assessments and ensure the process is as smooth as possible. Families are now able to register with ISEB through their Guardian Portal and select the schools they are applying for, along with the invigilation centre where their child will take the assessments. Our onsite assessments will be taking place in February of each year, however, pupils are able to sit the assessment at another Invigilation Centre if they prefer.

Pupils in Year 6 or 7 looking to join Felsted in Year 9 will need to register with Felsted here.

Once you have been issued an applicant ID, please email this to the Admissions Department at senioradmissions@felsted.org.

Our deadline for ISEB results is set to 3 March with offers of places being made following this deadline. The entry process also includes an interview with the Head and a confidential report from your child's current school.

Year 10

Registered pupils are invited to sit Verbal Reasoning, Mathematics and English Assessments to be considered for a place in Year 10. Places are offered based on this assessment, a confidential report from their current school and an interview with the Head.

Please contact the Admissions Office to arrange a convenient assessment date. If applying for a Scholarship, the Standard Entry assessment must be sat between September - end of October the year before entry.
