ISI Inspection 2019
Our full ISI Inspection in 2019 resulted in the best possible outcome for Felsted. We were found to be compliant in all areas and ‘excellent’ in both judgements of Educational Quality (the top grading). This is a tribute to the hard work of all the staff, pupils, governors, and of course parents, in supporting the school's vision to provide the very best all round education, and develop young people of character, who will make a difference in the world around them.
Felsted School was inspected over three days in March by the Independent Schools’ Inspectorate (ISI), the regulatory body for independent schools. It comprised both a regulatory compliance inspection and an inspection of educational quality across ages 4 to 18. Both areas of educational quality (academic achievement and personal development) were deemed excellent by inspectors. They commented;
'Pupils are highly successful, with notably positive attitudes to learning and a belief that they will succeed.'
‘Pupils develop high levels of knowledge, understanding and skills through an imaginative curriculum, meticulous planning and excellent relationships between staff and pupils'.
For the educational quality inspection, the school is judged around two key outcomes - pupil achievement (including academic development) and the personal development of pupils. These outcomes are split into eight different categories (A1-8 for pupil achievement and P1-9 for personal development).
The feature below is a live evidence portal, showing our ongoing commitment to achieving excellence in these areas.
