Netball with Emily Brown

An excellent course for children of all levels and experience to learn and improve their performance in netball. All children will develop their skills and confidence through games, fitness and tactical planning. 

The course will feature different aspects of the sport, but will focus on: 

• Ball skills - passing and catching
• Movement skills
• Attacking
• Defending 
• Shooting 
• Mini fun tournament and shooting competition 

Refreshments will be provided throughout the day, with a hot meal at lunchtime.

Hockey with Jo Westwood

28 October - 1 November

This challenging course is aimed at introducing and practising various skill sets. Each session builds on the players' knowledge and skill with the aim of introducing new techniques to matches and games as the course progresses.

Run by Felsted School's Hockey Professional and Premier League hockey player, Jo Westwood; Jo has 90 senior Wales caps and has attended two commonwealth games. Jo still represents Wales and is involved with the GB U21 development training.

Both boys and girls with all levels of experience are welcome to take part in this action-packed programme; beginners are welcome on Monday and Tuesday only. Participants are encouraged to bring their own kit.

Refreshments are provided throughout the day, with a hot meal at lunchtime.

Dance and Drama with Erin Simpson

29 July - 2 August 2019

Ages 7-14
9.30am - 4.30pm: £160 for the week.

If you love to dance, sing and act then come and be part of the show and enjoy a fun packed week with Erin Simpson. Boys and girls of all levels and experience are welcome!

Erin Simpson is a qualified teacher and professional performer and has been running these successful courses at Felsted for the past 10 years. She works in many independent and musical theatre schools and has just finished working as choreographer and musical director for a large production of Cinderella!

Individual days can be booked for convenience or book for the whole week! Prices include refreshments and a hot meal at lunchtime! Keep fit and make friends on this fun multi-sports camp which includes a full range of different sports including:

football / zorb games / hockey/ tennis / badminton / agility, team & skill games / tag rugby / nerf war / rounders / nature walk / volleyball

Children can choose a different variety of activities throughout the day whilst having a great deal of fun in the process. For boys and girls, all levels of sporting ability welcome, with groups allocated accordingly.

Swim School

12 - 16 & 19 - 23 August 2019

Led by experienced Level 2 swim teacher Amanda Simmons, Felsted's swimming courses provide the perfect opportunity for children to receive quality coaching in small groups, by qualified and experienced teachers. These are highly intensive courses that focus on building confidence and improving the ability of each swimmer in a short period of time. Each participant will receive a certificate for their efforts.

9.00 - 9.30 Non Swimmers
9.45 - 10.15 Early Swimmers
10.30 - 11.00 Improvers

£65 per 5 day course

Non Swimmers (Age guideline 4+)
For complete beginners who are unable to swim. Maximum of 6 children per group.

Early Swimmers (Age guideline 5-7)
Ideal for children who have just started swimming without flotation aids and are able to cover a distance of 5 metres in a horizontal position. The course is designed to develop swimming technique and strength. Maximum of 8 children per group.

Improvers (Age guideline 7-9)
Ideal for children progressing from early swimmer to improver. Children must be able to swim a minimum of 10 metres unaided and with ease as this session will take place at the deep end of the pool. Maximum of 8 children per group.

Squash with Richard Pilcher

28, 30 and 31 October 2019

9.30am - 12.00pm / 8–11 year olds

Try our three-day squash course for new and improving players, led by Felsted Squash Coach, Richard Pilcher. Acquire and develop skills in this fast-paced, fun and exciting game. It also offers children, who have never played the sport before, the chance to try a new sport that improves agility, hand-eye coordination and fitness. Run by Felsted Squash Coach, Mr Richard Pilcher.
