The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme enables pupils to work towards their Bronze, Silver & Gold awards throughout their years at Felsted. They need to complete four sections for each award with a Residential section for Gold.

- Service - helping the local community
- Skills - Learning new skills
- Expedition - Plan, train and complete two adventure expeditions
- Physical Recreation
