From the ages of 7+, children enjoy and benefit from a whole range of structured extra-curricular activities. Pupils develop basic sporting skills, swim, play instruments, sing in the choir, take part in plays, perform in shows, make and create lots of artistic and design ideas, develop their computing skills, play board games or cards, cook and garden.
From the age of 9 the children continue to enjoy all these different activities, but gain from greater time for them. Sporting fixtures are included in the programme at this age. All children will be given an opportunity to represent the School at different levels and in different ways. Our pupils need to try all these activities to learn what they enjoy and excel at. The Young Felstedian will have gained much confidence and independence in a number of areas by the end of Year 6.
