Development Introduction

Felsted is passionate about pupils achieving the very best from their gifts and abilities and learning to use these skills within the wider national and international community.

The role of the development office is to help facilitate this vision by raising funding for two main objectives:

To improve the facilites and environment in which the pupils grow
To provide for bursaries and scholarships to enable more to benefit from the educational experience that Felsted offers

Throughout the School’s history it has only been through the generosity of Old Felstedians, parents and well-wishers that we have many of the facilities which pupils benefit from today. School fees alone do not generate sufficient surplus income to allow for reinvestment into major capital development projects. Furthermore, since the removal of the Assisted Places Scheme in 1997, the School continues to award bursaries and scholarships to gifted children which are currently paid for by fee income. Larger endowed funds will enable more children to benefit from a Felsted education.

We hope that you share the passion we have for the School and that the plans for the future may inspire you to consider giving to the School to help us achieve the vision.
