Through a partnership between school and home, a pupil's development and progress can be most effectively guided and monitored. It is the Housemaster or Housemistress who is chiefly responsible for a child's general welfare, and who, in consultation with parents, will oversee the major decisions relating to the individual pupil's school life and career development.
Felsted makes provision for full seven day a week Boarders, Occasional Boarders (3 nights per week) and welcomes Day Pupils. All pupils, whether Day or Boarding are fully integrated in a House system. Houses are lively and friendly places and the students happily spend their free time in a comfortable and caring environment. From September 2010 there will be ten houses at Felsted, five for boys and five for girls. Two Houses are for Day Pupils, six Houses for Boarders and Occasional Boarders in Years 9 to Lower Sixth and two Houses for Upper Sixth Boarders.
