The Elwyn boys came out victorious against Deacon's in the final of the Senior Tug of War event which took place at the end of term.

The Young Enterprise Competition final took place recently with the Elwyn boys securing both first and second place with their innovative ideas of selling breast cancer charity badges and marketing their own brand of apple juice. A donation from the money raised will be made to the Adams Rogers Trust. Adam, who was at school with some of the boys in Elwyns, tragically died of a brain tumour. The aim of the trust is to raise funds to help care for children with cancer and to help adults with learning difficulties live and work in the community. Click here for a full report.

The Upjohn Declamation is the most prestigious public speaking and debating event in the School calendar and took place recently with Filip Bigos of Elwyn's House winning second place for a passionate and heartfelt speech on the plight of those with AIDs in Africa.
The adjudicator, once again, was former Chairman of Governors and High Court Judge, Peter Beaumont.
Filip Bigos was up against Andrea Smith Valls, Ben Gibbon, Lucy Stuchfield, Rebecca Mansfield, Jamie Gough and Madeleine Seacombe who all gave a range of thought provoking, eloquent and insightful talks and Peter Beaumont mentioned in his summing up that the standard of the competition was as high as it has ever been.
