Felsted Preparatory School aims to educate children in a warm and caring environment, where the highest possible standards are set. In the early years, children are cared for by their class teacher, but as they progress up through the school and have separate subject teachers their main pastoral care is monitored by their Year Tutor.  Boarders will also benefit from the care and supervision of their house parents.

The overall health care of the School is supervised by the Headmistress, assisted by the matrons who deal with minor ailments.  Serious illnesses or injuries are attended to at the Felsted School Medical Centre located on the School Campus.
