Felsted's curriculum offers most pupils the opportunity to study ten GCSEs, including four optional subjects. The aim for Year 10 and Year 11 is to develop a curriculum that ensures a broadly balanced programme for all pupils, without inhibiting the specialization required for a variety of Advanced Level courses.

In Year 10 and Year 11 pupils study the following compulsory core subjects: English Language, English Literature, French, Mathematics and Science. All pupils study the core subjects in classes organised according to ability.

In addition, pupils can choose from the following options: Geography, History, Classical Civilisation, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, German, ICT, Spanish, Design Technology, Latin, Religious Studies, Art, Music and PE.
